I’ve been around entrepreneurs and small business owners all my life. My grandparents were small business owners and owned an antique store in Wimberley, Texas. My dad was self-employed and owned a plumbing business for over 40 years. I’ve been in and around the real estate industry since 2004, and started my coaching business, Red Hawk Coaching, in 2017. I’ve been a professional coach since 2010 and to date have booked over 12,000 individual lesson hours. coaching with real estate agents, real estate teams, real estate brokers and small business owners.
As owner and head coach of Red Hawk Coaching, I offer one-on-one coaching in a weekly format and 30-minute sessions over the phone. My company’s unique offering is that I customize coaching to the specific needs of my clients. While some people thrive in group brains and learn in conferences, Red Hawk Coaching provides that one-on-one personal coaching that is highly sought after by the most productive individuals. I have the honor and privilege of coaching some of the most productive people in their respective industries. While nearly 80% of my coaching business is related to the real estate industry, over the past two years I have expanded my one-on-one coaching services to small business owners.
What do you share with your customers now in a world of uncertainty?
I believe that even in times of uncertainty, this opportunity exists. It all starts with mindset, and mindset must be followed by action. As a business owner, you need to be very aware of where money changes hands. You have to make the adjustments in your business to be in the middle of where this exchange takes place.
I see a lot of coaching organizations and training platforms saying “knowledge is power”. It is one hundred percent false. Knowledge is power only when applied. As a business owner, this is a time when you need to hone your skills and you need to ask yourself if you are really implementing the knowledge you have acquired through coaching and training.
From a historical point of view in my career, it is in economic situations like today’s that those who really want to move in their business will invest more in their personal and professional development. Now is a great time to hire an experienced coach like me to help you take advantage of today’s market where everyone is running on the sidelines, and to help prepare you when the market swings the other way. The market share you gain today in a tough market can never be recaptured by your competitor when the market swings the other way.
I really don’t see any uncertainty right now; rather, it is an opportunity for the serious business owner willing to get down to business and apply the knowledge gained.
What do you attribute to your success as a coach?
I attribute my success to being consistently consistent and intentional in everything I do. I built a plan and created a schedule that supports that plan. I then execute this program staying consistent and intentional in the actions I take. This is the mindset I help my clients establish for themselves. Being a success in your respective business is simple; not easy.

What advice can you offer a business owner today?
Hire a trainer. I may be biased, but it’s also in my personal experience of having coaches in my life that I’ve really found success more quickly. The greatest investment you can make is in yourself. Your biggest enemy on the path to success is YOU. A great coach, like me, will ask intentional questions that will get you thinking different, feeling different, taking action, and getting results. These results will strengthen or modify your programming.
Whether you hire me or another trainer, make sure they are experienced, trained and get results. There are so many people claiming to be a coach after spending a weekend taking an online course. I have been professionally trained and have conducted over 12,000 hours of coaching sessions. There are very few who have that level of experience in the industry. I am proud of this journey that I have taken to help countless others over the years. My desire is to help others thrive in both business and life.
